YARDFEST

MOVIES, FOOD & BOOZE. Mmm.

Since owners Jeff and Sean originally created “The Yard” for a place where new young filmmakers, comedians and likes could try out their talents before pitching the world, its obvious that their new restaurant would also cater to such events. “YardFest,” an independent, on-going short film festival, started about seven years ago in a backyard, helping to further the careers of burgeoning filmmakers and talents like The Lonely Island Boys, Judah Friedlander and many others. Today, YardFest has produced over 50 events/screenings over the last 5 years, showing over 400 short films by LA based filmmakers. With an establishment venue, a 20 x 20 hidden projector screen available and great surround sound, the owners intend to make ‘YardFest’ bigger and bigger each year.
